Looks lie a good start to me. Is this second render a wireframe render? Because if yes you got way to many poly's. Keep it up.

It looks like a good start, but you have to make sure these lines run nicely

the grill looks great also, once you have taken away some of the polies the car will look much smoother and cleaner, keep up the great work
