I have been trying to figure it out, and i cant find any tutorials on it, but where can I get a tutorial on how to make the stupid black plastic mesh grill. For right now I have just a grey plane because i cant seem to get it. (i am using 3DS-7)


this is my 2nd car so, dont criticize too much on it being kind of iffy in the looks department.

Nice start, but you have some bumps that you should remove. I should post a wire frame render if you what any help with removing the bumps.

the lights are off, too round. dont know about anything else, but it is smooth

can we c a wire.. it looks pretty bumpy, plus overall the car is over smoothed, u definitly need to chamfer a lot of places to sharpen it up

you should chamfer a lil bit more the edge under the healight

as it was already said youve got very bumpy and oversmoothed car .. for max i can recommend you Audi A4 tut by Blitzee from 3d palace server - its realy great for beginners !

problems !!! with the mesh flow all though its nicely done. (2d car? well its pritty ok then)don worry u'll get the hang of it i a little while

have a few questions that are in the attached picture.

and was wondering if i should just stick to lego cars...

well i know in XSI all you do is selected the edges and push weld. but no don't stick to lego cars. that won't help your modeling. you should see my first - my 5th car, the all really suck HARD! so just stick with it. and if you really like this car, you can alway scrap it. and redo it. trust me the next time you do it you will be able to do it quicker, and make it more correct. but just stick with it.
