Mercedes S 65 AMG 2006

Here's my latest WIP. I decided to do this car since Mercedes is my favourite car brand and nobody does AMG's because there are no blueprints for them, so here goes.

I have a different method of working from most of the people here, I first build all the surface and then start dividing and adding the details, so it might be a while untill the first meshmooth pics of the body will appear, for now I've only got wireframes.

The rim however is ready, there are a few flaws because I used booleans on it to make the bolt holes, I think in the end I'll use displacement, but the rims will be among the last things that I'll take care of , I also got to add the Mercedes emblem on them and do the AMG indentations.

The tire was made with a displacement map that I made myself from a few refpics, but I don't have sidewalls for it, so if you know where I could get them from, I would appreciate it. I don't know why the "things" appear on the edge, but I'll look into it when I get some time; theese pics were just a few quick tests.

C&C more than welcomed

nice car choice
why are you using so much polies on the side? try to optimize the mesh - much polies - much bumps

Good start, but I have to agree with revelli, you've used a lot of polies where you could use less. I'm a poly freak but even I think you could lose some without affecting your mesh, for example behind the front wheel arch on the side of the wing. But you have a great mesh that looks very promising. Wheels and tyres look cool too

I didn't map the displacement right.

Small update: front bumber pretty much wrapped up, didn't have that many time to work on it, so it's going pretty slow but I'll get there.
