Awww, but I love polywaste
![]() I wanted to avoid tris as best possible.. but cocked it up I spose. How would you suggest I keep the shape of the arches but thin out the pollies on the sides and roof? Thanks to FlagG I have a UVUnwrapping guide and I've started mapping the wheel as a test. So far so good! |

low poly and triangles go very well together so don't worry about using a few.
think about where you apply them though since some areas might cause problems as well as overuse ![]() Everybody gotta wear clothes, if you don't you'll get arrested |

I do understand somewhat about game poly placement. But I'm a dirty poly whore. Jaggy arches get me jittery! I'm still learning Max and I'd rather keep this model a disaster rather than go back over it again. Spent too long on it! Just want to finish it and get it ingame for learning sakes.
What made this model such a whore piece was becasue I was modelling my Miata attempt at the same time so I was in the quad frame of thinking I think. I'll pick up the Miata again one day. Lost hope with that too. The finer details like the headlights etc were getting too hard ![]() Basic baked wheel: ![]() This is a quick and dirty wheel texture job (just textured the spokes). Little bit sloppy and I just used very basic render settings so quality is lacking a little. I will make a highter res bake of it and then resize, photoshop and hopefully it will look alright. Need to sort out that tyre too! |
