Ferrari Enzo

not much of a wip anymore, I just want to tweak a few things before I want to call it finished. 3dsmax7+Brazil1.2 r/s and used bridge1.hdr for the environment map. I need some crits for this car, and I mean heavy crits since I'm not at all satisfied with this yet. Posted are the wireframe of the body and two small renders of the car.

The 1600x1200 render is here, and highly recommended for view in use for crits: http://www.entryplug.net/wips/enzo/wip0058large.jpg

One question still lingers on, however: the rims are nice white alloy when the car body isn't present, and when the body is present, it casts a shadow on it, making it a grey color... when I uncheck the rim's property to inherit shadows, it becomes intensely white. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? :? :? :?

Thanks for checking out my work!

ok.. lets c.. seams need to be sharper and smaller, lights are too smoothed and curved.. look at ref pics.. they should be more sqaurish than wut u got.. also.. the glass cover of the lights has to be the same level as the car body, not sitting inside. hmmm...rims shape is a bit wrong.. the 2 mini spokes at each spoke should come closer together as they move to the outside of the rim, hard to describe, look at ref pics. (in school, so cant show u now myself) the big vent in the back, right behind the door, the 2parts of it seem to make a sharp edge at the seam, they should creat a smooth curve, the front end could use some sharper lines overall, mirrors too long? i'm not sure, ok.. thats pretty much my crit(s) lol, good luck w/ fixing those

Yeah it's not the most accurate model around But I like those renders

Anyway, why do you want to exclude them from getting shaded? Those rims shouldn't be white, the colour they have now is perfect. Just let them reflect something

If those are the stock rims, they could use some work to be more accurate looking. I like the renders though, reflections could be a lil softer. The enzo is a hard car to model, so you did pretty good with it.

The body could sure use some chamfering, but the renders look good.

If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself
