Ferrari F430

Hi all, I'm new arround here and quite new in modelling to.

Here is my new project, I've only done the wheels and tires for now:

I'm not good with materials so I wanted to ask you if anyone could help me with teaching me how to de a cool material for both the wheel and tire. Hopefully as close to the real ferrari materials.

C&C

Tire needs a little smoothing, chrome is pretty good. For the tire, try making the material darker and adding a noise bump map tiled many times..

Make the background darker and chrome will look great, it's too bright right now

The rim looks good, but the tire isn`t so good than the rim is. Also the materials of the rim and brakedisc are a little bit too reflective and too brightly.

IMO the rim looks perfect my only crits are that the brake disc is too reflective and the tyres are still too light apart from that, great modeling, keep it up

Playing with materials and mapping got these:

Could anyone help me to do the brake disk material round, I mean that it looks like the brushing of it is round.

the brakedisc looks weird to me... the scratches should run across the disc and not crosswards, if you know what I mean... other then that it looks very good

yeah this is much better, maybe want to make it a little more blended in? now it looks like your brakepads are worn out and you are braking with metalpads, which completly destroyed your brakedisc  ...
here is an image from a real one... the lines aren't that noticable at all and actually there are no lines at all, a brakedisc is very smooth, these lines are from oxidation

also your brake caliper is too thin, it looks like it isn't covering the whole brake disc. and still you have those creases on the disc

but anyway, cool job, it looks very smoothly modeled. keep it up
