Well i prefer to do it this way then cut out some polyrows later. I'm still not sure if i'm going to do an interior for this version (higher poly version will follow this one).

Well, its smoothed now and practically done on the outside. i think i'm goinng to make the rims now. Also have to add detail to the side windows and the front grille, that is assymetric.

this is too much of triangles, your tires will take like 1000 and other details about 300, but you will not have much triangles for the interior...

i'm not sure i can do the niterior, there's virtually no pictures of it!
My tires will take a lot less polies, it will be a simple cylinder with a texture.
Anyway i haven't optimized the model yet
here's a shot of the rear with the lights modeled

And why would he weld it? He's not finished with the mapping yet. As this is hardly going to be a racecar he will only need to map one half of the car to paint the texture on, that will be easier if he does it now, when the car is not welded. At least that's the way I would do it with this car.

And the wheelarches are just like on the real one. (Somehow that thing absolutely rules with these wheels... )

It's looking good.

yeah as Tigga said, the wheel arches are like that (which is one of the things that makes this car funny).

As for not being welded, its just because i still have 1 or 2 wee-small details to be made that are going to be mirrored too. I am however going to weld it before i texture it, because the car has text on the sides, it has an assymetric front grille and it will look better with baking and shadings in Racer

right... my Texporter tool isn't working. Just gives an error and Max closes
Anyone have an idea why this could happen?Or an alternative method?

Reinstall it, if that doesn't work, take print screens of your mapping.

Why not add omnis on all sides of the car then bake the texture using the render to texture option in the rendering menu?
