Fat Car '41.

Hello all. This is my first post here. I thought someone might be interested in the car I'm working on. It is based on a 1941 Willys. I have done it almost completely "freehand". I didn't have any blueprints, just photos at bad angles for modeling. Right now the composition is pretty bad, I will do it better for final render.

Modeled and rendered 100% in Blender.

Thanks for looking. C+C is very welcome. I'm pretty new to 3D.

I recently got max. I thought I would just show my newest render. I have max for about a week. I'm still trying to get just a basic understanding of mental ray. Anyway, here it is, my mental ray render. BTW, I had to take a break from 3d due to RL stuff.

not bad. though nose (of the bonnet) seems to be too round, kinda looks like '38 willys hood atm.

below some side view pic of mine '41 which prolly will help if you want to get bonnet in right shape (if ur still tweaking of that model)

(and nvm of fenders since they are trimmed swc super gasser versions)

the perspective of the car compared to the background picture is all wrong. it's only off slightly but it definately gives it that "cartoony" effect
