Audi Q7

heya all, its been a while since ive made anything in 3dsmax, so thought id make another car haha... but decided since all ive done have been sports cars, ill try an SUV for a change.

i know theres not much to look at yet with where im at so far, the rest of the body is modeled just no extrusions or chamfers so it wouldnt look pretty haha... but if anything is wrong, please inform me, as i only have 42 pictures of the Audi Q7... is all i found doing a search on google and yahoo.

p.s. sorry for no wireframe yet

p.s.again.lol.: the reason why the body has material is so you can see the fine creases on the hood and fender... clay render you couldnt see them (just so you dont think they arnt there haha)

thanks guys

got a question, any of you know a good tutorial on displacement maps? everytime i try to add a displacement map it makes whatever its on all messed up lol... and ive seen people use displacement maps to make the tires to thier cars... which looks better than what i usually do

heres an update, i know the center two things of the grill are closer than the others but ill play with it, also the thickness of the verticle bars... still messing with

-pic with the blue = fixed the bottom lip thing lol, it was way inaccurate, it still has some inaccuracies but atleast it is somewhat what it should look like lol

too bad the renders are so small... you can't see too much on them

but i can see that your seams should be a bit sharper (bottom A pillar for example) and i guess that the top corner of your headlights isn't sharp enough either adn on the very bottom of the front bumper i think your air intakes should be way thinner

but aside from that the car looks great!

i think youre right, i just made a compesition with a picture of the real car... and the headlight corner should be sharper... not to mention the seam for my hood is too close to the corner according to pictures of the Q7. guess i used the wrong blueprint (one thats off a bit) lolol about my seams needing to be sharper... i made then that rounded for a reason
