Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

ola im starting this eclipse its my favourite car in NFSUG2 i was actually playing it 2 hours ago so i stopped being lazy and came on the comp and started work on it. heres what i got im just worried that i got a messy wire thats why i havnt chucked meshsmooth on especially how to keep the shape of the headlight hole with mesh smooth on. Heres my wire guys please direct me to anything i gota fix before i apply meshsmooth i hate it when it looks bad lol.

imo its too low poly stick a few lines on the fornt bumper and define it more

Messy wire? nope, looks fine to me Like seancatlin11 said, it does look a bit low poly, add some more lines ( make sure that they are all evenly spaced ) and define the car some more Waiting for meshsmooth because you cant tell much about a smoothed car when its not smoothed

hello added some polies like u said still havnt used meshsmooth lol (: and i wont not until i make sure its 100 perfect i just need help with chamfering the headlight hole to keep its shape.

i also think that another intake needs to be placed on the side of the bumper looks wy to plain atm but i know its just a wip

I attached the example. Where ever do you need sharp edge, chamfer edge like red one i showed you on the pic. hope you understand it, if not, contact me on pm.

i do chamfer it but when i throw on mesh smooth it stuffs up for some reason i dont know why. Ill be posting a pic of my car with mesh smooth on later on.

yeh i totally ruiened the name of my thread with a ****ty start. I started all over again because i seem to have the momentem im doing this car as a present for my girl lol. Just to thank her for giving me her opinions and everything. I'm just 16 will be studying in plymouth where my gf live snow so cant wait ill be studying Hons mechanical aided design. Anyways enough about my personal life and heres a wire and a clay render. C+C welcome and please comment and point out every little mistake i want i to be perfect for my girl.

chamfer the hole in the front youve chamfered the outside zone but not the inside giving it a rolled in effect

Look at the attachment. If I were you, I'd remove the red marked edges, and make yellow ones. After that, I'd detach the hood, for a start.

ok thnx guys for your comments it already has been improved quiet a bit i did some fixing on it. But i cant manage to fix this bug i got at the end of this chamfer line heres a wire to show you guys. And i cant deattach the hood cuse i wont be able to model the headlights if i do cuse the way i model the headlights is i cap the hole first.

eliminate traingles. Use a nice quad to finish of that chamfer like

something liike this and maybe it will work its what i would have done anyway

ok modelled some more. Next come the headlights does anyone have an easy technique to model some nice headlights? The way i do it takes long C+C welcome

uhm the way i do.I would model the cover in with the mesh then break it all up.like make the hood bumper and light cover in a mesh then split it up and do ur usual chamfer jobbie then make a nice inside section and add some some pretty cylinders

ahh, ok well, when i make the headlights, i make the glass cover first. Then i copy it, take off the glass mat and use it as a base for my headlight by extruding it inwards
