LowPoly M3

Hi there,

Many might think now,, ooh no not him and his project.. And others might think aaaw finally...

But ok, let's talk about the car!

I almost never done a lowpoly car.. And since i now need a lowpoly one.. i started to do it. Everything is "non-meshsmooth".

Side, backbumper and few other things has to be smoothed yet..

And ooh before i forget to ask.. I'm posting wireframe's.. Dont freak out.. And no i'm not gonna pay for the medical bill's ...

Now the question, Can u guy's help me to perfection this wireframe. I know it aint good, but still wanna make it good, for the reflection and not seeing that it is lowpoly..

And also my limit is 50k With bit's of the interior..

Images hosted on Imageshack. Wireframes, Screenshot+save in mspaint...

Typical hipolymodeler mesh

Looking good indeed and remember now when you're not using meshsmooth you can also use tris so all those small polyrows can be deleted.

Btw 50k isn't lowpoly, above 7k is starting to be midpoly car already

with lowpoly, on a straight surface, you can use very few polys and still get a good reflection. so you have some areas (like the front bumper, with 3 rows of polys not really doing anything. that could be cut down to 1 or 2 rows, then you can make triangles to get more edges for your wheel wells. for the most part, only when you subdivide the mesh to triangles become a problem. anyways the shape looks good so far, just try to cut down on the areas that people mentioned!

since its a low poly, the wheel arc doesnt need as many polies.. u dont need it to be perfect circle

Somehow i found lil time.. and made a lil update.

Body for so far 4890 tri's . i know its alot! but well, it's still move-ing smooth on my laptop.. so i dont need to worry yet.

Gotta make thickness on the car. And some minor detail's.

Say what u can see what is wrong! please.

ps. sorry for the small images. Dont have a-lot time.

I do have the details on the hood, but the render aint showing them

it seems like your rims dont have smoothing group on one place
and chamfer your front bumper, that top edge
