take your blueprint image of the top and turn it by 90° upwards with an image editing program.

are you following a tutorial for your first car?

about your polygons and vertices not being at the correct position. you have now a 2D silhouette of your car. you need to moove all the vertices according to the top blueprint to make a 3D model. might sound a little complicated and weird at first but i guess you will soon get used to it

it all depends on the skill of the person who uses the program he has at hand. i have seen people make models that are 10 times better with Zmod than with 3DSMax

Hey, greets to the NL.... live next to you :-)

anyway... i see you have started your first model, gratulations. And i think your small question wont let you make the rest of all...

this tutorial link will help you standing on your own feet:

AwesysNet's ZModeler Tutorial v2.0

dont worry, after trying to finish your model, you will restart and restart making newer (better) ones.... thats normal, dont loose contact...

Good luck
