SPH Concept

This is a concept car that I am working on. SPH are my initials. Doing this for school.
The idea behind the car is a mid mounted sports car powered by a Ford V8 - those found in the BA GT's

I think the front looks great...Reminds me of an NSX. The back however is a little gaudy for my taste.

Great model though...I am intersted in more.

front looks like bit porsch and NSX
and the back bit murcielago + diablo

nice job sofar, but i would try to use less boxy shape, the cars this days, they like an electronic razor, slick and smooth, ahrdly any sharp edges and boxy shapes ...

SWIPS has spotted one of my inspirations of this car.
I like a lot of cars from the '60's and '70s more than what I like built after 1980. So for me it'll be more natural to work with a slightly older body style.

Looks good, but your front windshield has an strange shape. The bottom edge of your windshield is not a perfect curve, so you have bumpy glass windshield. Just make that line smoother an dit'll be a lot better.

Man, those wheelarches look too big. And yes, I got the tires in my mind already on that car.

It looks good, but if you make a temporary tube as tire, you'll see the wheelarches may look somewhat big.
And it seems the wheelbase is quite large (look at the sidewindow). With sucha sidewindow, try to make the windscreen at the front flatter.

Don't really know what to say about the concept, but your modelling is quite good. Keep that up, and goodluck with your project .

@Clr, I still need to put in the mirrors so the side windows are eventually going to be smaller. Should also note that the car is only 39 inches tall. Trust me, those arches have already been resized because they were too big.

Headlights nearly finished

Engine bay and bay brace now in

PS I am still working on the Lambos

you jack it up? why would that stop you from taking the wheel off, when you jack up a car the suspension hangs down and the body gets pushed up

WOW I really like it, especially the front. Personally I'd shorten it abit and do it from door and roof centre, but hey! I ain't complaining Nice work.

Personnally I wouldn't shorten it any more then I already have.
I've jacked it up, made modifications to front and rear bars, and the sil panel. Tires have been added

I don't know, it's still a hassle, but it is just a concept. I personally think it would look better with a regular open wheel well though. Very nice clay render btw.

Just one problem, and its not too do with your car, can you just attach your pics to this thread instead of linking them to imageshack, it takes ages to load up all the images. Car looks really good

@Prykie, I'll do that if I have more then one render to show. I suppose it kills the 56kers

Any way added rear spoiler, and its adjustable

it doesn't look like the most stable construction

anyway, how about making the hood of the car a tad longer and sloping a bit more? imo the front end is a really big drop and it doesn't look very aerodynamic.

I done a lot on the car now, in fact I am no longer working on the car, now I'm working on the scene. After I get the setting I like I'll do a high res image to photoshop, because I have to photoshop just so its 'more creative' for the school needs since this is a school project. I am going to put some 2d art of mine as posters on the brick wall (3 lambos and 3 fords) and put a photo as the back ground
