250GTO WIP

Heres is an very quick and lousy render update on the 250GTO and yep she has the kick ass street exhaust ( i have a version with the race exhaust as well) - I havent had much time to devote to the car lately as I am mainly working on my animatic for my demo reel but I am anxious to get texturing on the car. Thanks to all for the disc brake textures and bump maps

The vent on the rearfender looks a bit lowpoly.. Either turn up the iterations, or add some polies
Other than that, for as far we can see things: it looks sweet

I wanna see some more too!

More 250GTO per request

Heres another shot of the 250GTO - interior is going in and starting to tweak the glass shader (No enviroment YET - to much time being spent on animatics for my demo reel) Lots to do on the car still but its coming along - I think.

250 GTO 90% Done

Here is the 250 GTO 90% done - still have interior pieces to work out but its enough for the shots in my demo reel.

Thanks for the critiques they have helped.

Modelling is looking really nice!

Maybe I'm a little thick here, but I'm not sure what you're going for with the render. Is that Ingame-look due to your software limitations (what renderer are you using?) or did you actually aim for it? If so, you've done a nice job.

Lovely model The materials could be a bit better though, but as Linsen said, if that's what you're aiming for; no comments from me

The render is just a quick + dirty one in mental ray with a phong grid and a Hdri bg just so I could get some lights in the scene - the material for the body is the T2S car paint shader for mental ray (no hdri plug in to the surface) and I have diliberatley kept the finish a little rough as the 250 GTO was originaly a hand made race car and fit and finish was pretty poor to say the least. The big down side to it all is I dont think T2S supports GI renders as when I set up for GI i get an error message saying no photons emitted and I have run a test by placing a few spheres in scene with colored phong shaders on them and they emit photons no problem. I will do an FG render on it soon though.

demo Reel finished + 250 GTO finished - I used to think this was my favourite car of all time - after working on my reel for months I really dislike it right now
