I think maybe the wheels and tyres are a bit too big, but it's a great start

Looking GREAT! This is about the only car I really know well and your doing a fine job. I also spoted that your front turn signals need sides and black rubber base.

Late edit: On closer look I noticed you have early 60s wheels 70s front wings (do they bend back at the bottom or is that a trick of the light?) and a very early 60s bonnet, if the wings do bend back towards the wheel the wings would not fit on the car body in real life, this may be just the lighting but heres a tool I use for dating bugs.

Keep up the good work!

Howdy

The 'fake seam' looks allright now. Just one thing I didn't notice before..: It looks as if the windscreen is embedded in the A pillars.. I'm quite sure I haven't seen that one before Perhaps on the USA versions, but I've only seen a pic of it once (it's ugly!!!), so don't know that..

Glad you like it

And I'm not sure what you mean by "other references". I only have the link provided by scorchi: http://www.volkswarenhaus.de/bugselecta.htm. Or try this: www.busselecta.com for a t-type, bus- or porsche-selecta

And you can customize your own Bug there, of course. Mine was just a quick suggestion.

Like your style Linsen, COOOOOL :-)

doncha_magoso

If you want any ref pics of specific parts let me know I've been collecting them for when I finish the Baja so I can use it as a basis for some V Dub variations. We had a beetle show here at the weekend and I got pics of just about every rim possible on a bug, plus engines.

here's a bigger render and some wires... moved a lot of points and took some time to make better texturing (i hope)

Leme guess your scene setup. You have a plane on the bottom with a radial sorta gradient effect which goes probly in the opacity slot and then u make blue color on ur own. Thats why on one of the pictures you ended up with the hdri showin threw the window? Am I right?

Nice work on the car man.

AHA! I see it now, your front wing (fender) curves in too much under the headlight, from the headlight its a straight line to the bottom of the wing and the back of it doesn't blend with running board, I'll post up some pics later. I also have a close up shot of rear window (I found that bit really tricky).

Really like the way this ones shaping up though.

The wheels look a little big, but otherwise looks great. Love the renders.
