E-Type
i posted a very basic ferarri f430 WIP a few months ago, as my first ever car model - and in fact nothing more than a test of how it worked. since then, i've had a lot to do and have had no real time for modelling.
now, i have some time, and have decided to make an e-type. partly for my girlfriend's father's birthday - which is in a few weeks. i hope to make a lovely render of it, and get it printed. anyway, here is my WIP e-type so far, i've got about five hours of work in it so far. i'd like any advice you can offer on how to sort the headlamps. i (stupidly, i feel) modelled the body without putting them in, and it now seems to be a bit of a task to put them back in, so they look right. any help in that area in particular would be great. other than that - just general c+c please... be as detailed as possible. incidentally; the apparent pinching along the side of the body, and at the back, is not pinching. it's a low quality render - those are the lines for the door and the boot [edit] sorry about the slightly crappy wire [/edit] |

i spent quite a while on the hood bump thing, i've actually got a model of a 1961e-type beside me. the hood bump as i have it fits quite well onto this small model. though when i work more on it later i'll have another look. thanks, clix

been a while since i've updated this; i went on holiday! and i've had other things to do.
anyway, only a small update; i've decided to model the coupe version instead. as my head was spinning a bit at the idea of doing the soft-top. as i improve at car modelling, i'd be willing to try it. but for my first real try, i think it's a bit too much ![]() anyway; here's the renders and the wire. in the rear render you can see that the license plate is clipping into the body a bit - that's because i've changed the body, but haven't worked on the license plate yet. any comments and critique would be greatly appreciated! [edit] sorry the renders are a bit dark... it appears i forgot to turn one of my lights on. you can still see though - so consider it mood lighting. |
