New here with my Gallardo

Hi @ all,

I´m new at this site and also new in 3D max, car modeling.
So this is my second try to model a car. I first tried a Skyline R34, but then I recognized that a Gallardo would maybe easier. Also one of my favourite cars.

But as you can see on the image i got some problems with Turbosmooth.
Why does it make some edges round and some not. If i add some seems the problem will also occur by the lights. :?

Furthermore i would like to know how i could get a realistic glossy car paint?
I just increased the glossiness and added a skies map as reflectionsmap, but it doesnt look very realistic.

Greets and thanks, Skyliner

Thanks for your offer but i actually had already seen some video tuts.
And now i finally want to start modeling and got these probs with Turbosmooth. Maybe you could tell me what i can change to avoid Turbosmooth from making everything round?

ive attached a pic on how turbosmooth works, basically if a vertex has 3 or more edges connecting to it, it will smooth out, so you just have to change the verts so that they only have 2 edges connecting to them

@staticrain03: those wires are fine, they show the wireframe
