Thanks ColdFlame & Silent][Moebius for your comments.
I've spent some time to shorten the rear end, here's what I've got so far. In fact I show this render to you only to give an overview of the shortened back : I'm currently rebuilding the whole bumper bottom (comparing blueprints and refpics, I found out that the bumper was too pointy as SM noticed at bottom of page 1)
About the front, no time to update it yet. Will do it as soon as I find some. Stay tuned !
The render Silent][Moebius requested will be computed this night. Will post it in a few hours.

The marked area
Even if it's just the socket, do something with it, because it looks really off and unrealistic
The refpic also shows you the sharp edges on the front quiite well.
EDIT: The reason I'm giving some crits either means you suck, or I really like this project.. In this case, the latter, ofcourse Sweet work!

Thanks again Silent][Moebius and NightEye for pointing out errors.
I'll move rearward the upper corner under the headlight, and reduce the small side air-intakes.
But about the shape of the headlight, I'm not sure to fully understand you NE. I will sharpen the edge all around the headlight hole. I think the shape between headlight and calender is correct. And I dont figure out what you showed me with the parallel red lines inside the headlight. Maybe I should tell you that the inside is temp : just a placeholder, quickly made by extruding rearward the hole.
Anyways, I'm glad that both of you appreciate my model and that it starts to be accurate (on the front for the moment

Hehe. "Too old for this ****! " : for me it's time to get my son to go to sleep.
And btw, thanks a lot for the link. Dozens of pics, and get my ultimate (for now) refpic for headlights :

Update on the front : first attempt to model headlights.
Yes as I didn't understand some of the previous about the headlights holes, I masked them with some stuff

nice start on the headlights. check the lower edge of your hood, when it meeds the side of the front you can see it has a much smoother edge.

First render with some mats, just to have a idea of how the lights will be.
Silent][Moebius, OK I'll fix that.

great render i like the way the paint looks. though imo the aston DB9 looks best in silver metallic or british racin green
could i recommend you to use a high quality JPEG format and not PNG? png is always so huge when it comes to file size and it takes relatively long to load thx (that image has 1.3MB my attachment has 200kb and is about the same quality imo)

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you like it.
No problem about the JPG format. I'm using PNG for it being lossless. I will post JPG from now (if I think to convert )
About the car paint, it's basic Blender material. I'm looking to create realistic car paint (with metallic particles contained in the paint) I just found this evening some explanations about it, I posted a word on my site about : http://thomasbaron.dyndns.org/index....ial-in-blender
You can expect new renders soon (as soon as DB9 modeling is completed)

Long time no update !
I'm still working on this one, but only when I get myself enough time to work seriously.
Here's my progress :
- Rims : the outer part of the spokes needs work, but better these than the Alfa GT ones ! Made some brake discs, too.
- Side turn signals
- Side air exhaust, with the so lovely chrome edge. I'm working on the V12 inscription.
- Rearlights, preliminary version.
- Chrome thing around side windows reworked to left some room for sidemirrors
The three first pics below show colour tests. Please let me know which one do you prefer (black, british racing green, or beige) I've also tried a dark red one, but have not clean render to show here.
The last pic shows my latest work.
