the brit racing green could be a tad darker imo.

nice updates. i'm not sure but i think the center of you rims where the lug nuts go is too small. i could be wrong though.

Thanks for replies, guys. Go on for black & BRG.

Yes I think the paints are a little bit too reflective. I'll also check the size of the center of the rims, as I still need to work here (bolts, AM logo...)

New renders will be published shortly, with front / side / rear glasses.

I'm also lacking some refpics of the side-mirror (I just saw a DB9 in Paris this afternoon but no cam on me to take some pics...) So if anyone have some refpics, or can take somes from its own DB9, thanks by advance !

Thanks for submitting these pics. Unfortunately for me, I already saw these.

What I'm looking for is more close shots of the side mirrors : the bottom part linking to the main body is a bit hard to figure out for me for the moment.

pick one i hope there is a good pic somewhere that will give you a good idea of the questioned area. it looks like it's a simple edge with a seam. nothing more.

Thank you very much for the refpics, Silent][Moebius !
They're all interesting (except the second link which seems to give me a pic of a different woman each time I click :-? ). I will work on it in the next days.

More to come !!!

Linsen, I always thought the Aston Martin were pretty interesting cars

Silent][Moebius, thanks for the link ! Someone already gave it to me but it's worth a second look => Hey, you, just reader of this topic : you must follow the link SM posted above !

Anyway, here're some new renders with minor updates : beginning of side mirrors (missing the base plate for the moment), rear fog lights, proximity sensors, license plate (I just can't put one on the front, it will be so horrible )

2 things you need to go over:

the seams on the rear end are really not good. you can do better than that! they are either too wide or the fitting is horrible...

also check your rims. the spokes aren't really wide enough (or the edges are too sharp) and also the center part is too small. your spokes are also bent too strongly.

good luck fixing. i hope you can surprise us with some nice updates soon

Thanks for the comment, Silent][Moebius.

I agree I need rework on the rims. Sorry, but I don't understand when you said "the spokes are also bent too strongly". Can you explain it to a poor-non-english-mothertongue-man ?

For the seams on the rear, they seems to fit well IMO. So they must be too wide, I will try to reduce width ASAP.

To be continued !

Handmade in England - Aston Martin DB9

Back to work, now that the contest is over.

I started from scratch. Here's what I've got so far.

Doors and sideskirts are just placeholders. I think I will add details on each part before trying to complete the whole body.

What a great restart, not that the previous model wasn't as good. From what you said though, it seems as if this version will be more slow-paced and focused more on perfection as opposed to just meeting a deadline. Hopefully the rest of the car ends up looking as good as what you have started. Great work so far and keep us updated.
