Thanks for the quick comments, DSMRacing, The IC and Nik. Yes, I hope to reach better quality this time, as I think I've increased my skills with my previous WIPs.

Here's a little update. Grid threads may be to thin. I'm going to find close-up shots of them.

that is looking really hot It looks much better then the previous version. The only thing i can spot so far is that the line could be some sharper i think. Keep the updates coming, i really love this car and the first shots are really promising.

nice one mate. must say first one wasnt that bad you know. it really shows how much you improoved your skills. keep it pu like this
but posting perspective screenshot instead of render makes all more clear and easier to see problems. now the render looks fogy and doesent show all the detail. if you know what i mean.

awesome work Tom

it's great you decided to pic this beautiful project up again. i love this car and if i may i would crit and nitpic as much as i can

Aston Martin DB9 1600 x 1200 wallpaper

the image i am basing the crits on.

EDIT: btw, Jabbasworld no longer exists. the forum has recieved a change and now goes by the name Motorworld. they have now lost, deleted the ultimate picture topic sections, but are currently building up a large gallery of car photos. it's sad that that image reference database is now gone

Thanks DSMRacing. I think there has been no update to the DB9 since the reveal in 2004. Am I wrong ?

Thanks Paps, I will try to post today some wires.

Thanks Silent][Moebius, I know about Jabbasworld, I've noticed it too. But I'm not sure about the ultimate picture topics : you can still find some topics using the search tool within the forum : mostly the brand having dedicated section. As a counter example, no Aston-only topic.

About the nitpicking, I really want to read more from you, of course ! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I agree with all your 4 critics.

No update as of now, maybe later today. Thanks for reading !

astons are particularly hard cars to model cause of the different surface curvature but thats what makes them look so sexy...will be keeping an eye on this and offer help where i can

Beautiful modelling so far. It looks amazingly smooth and very well detailed. I love all new and old Astons. They're really hard to model. Good luck and keep it goin'!

check the Gallery, it's in the main navigational bar at the top. yes ferrari, lamborghini and porsche still have their own picture topics because there are some dedicated members who are keeping that alive. the whole forum is still a big WIP so we will see what will come in the future

Thanks younglion, LOST and S][M. Thanks for your kind words and for taking time to comment my work.

I agree the car is pretty hard to model accurately. In fact, I'm discovering (since I restarted it) that it's more difficult that what I've realized in my previous attempt.

I've seen for the new Gallery, already downloaded almost all pictures there.

About taking my time, be sure I will !

Thanks for taking time to comment.

Check your intake on the side of the bumper, it's a bit too long.
Also, the sharp edge below the lights is a bit off. Check with some refpics (Aston Martin DB9 - Dieselstation Exotic Car Pictures and Wallpapers - Fuel For Your Desktop).

Good work sofar though, and I'd love to see more of this

Thanks hmg2007 and pedro.malheiro, I hope you won't be disappointed.

Thanks NightEye. I agree with both points you noticed, in fact I already have spotted these points.

Here's an update with fixes for every problem mentionned here. Little progress from me : brand logo on hood, fully modeled, and first grid in the low bumper.
