Cheers guys. Moebius, you are right about the headlights, but for now, this is hsowrrom condition My texturing isn't up to a dirty car!, but anyway, work on fuel filler, front turn signal, and 13" pepperpot wheels.

Cheers!

Very nice model, I've always like the capri. Prefer the mk1 but the mk3 still rocks . I love the DOF in the first render. How do you acheive that?

Love the pepperpots too

The MkI does seem to be the preferred one for most people, I always liked the MkIII, then the MkII, and then the MKI myself.

The DOF is just the stock Lightwave DOF, rendered with FPrime.

Cheers!

Nice model dude. Seeing as this is so accurate, I do have 1 crit.

The face of the pepperpots is way to flat, and the bolt holes are waaaay too smalle atm. See the images. These rims are from a fiesta XR2, although the capri rim is identical in design, just 1" wider.

As you can see, the bolt holes are practically the same size as the other holes! (I spent a long time working on these rims when restoring my XR2 lol)

I hope this helps you!

(you may also find the first image useful for the side wall of a pirelli P6, the original tyre fitted to carpi 3's!)

Wow mannion, thanks, those images will be a big help. Someone else pointed out those holes being to small as well, so like i told that other guy, good catch!

Now, lets get these refs saved, and get back in to modeller

Cheers!

Man looks really sweet! I think you may need a better rim material though.. Not sure if that was mentioned already [sorry if it was]

Looks awesome, the rims look much better. You've got a bit of grainyness at the bottom of the bumper though. Not sure how the renderer works in lightwave though. Good work

Wow massive improvement, no?

I'd love to see this in tasman blue. I can't find a picture of a capri in this colour, although i know they did them and its by far the best colour IMO.

And also are you going to do a bump map for the side walls?

Check the pic for the colour i mean

Still picking away at this when I find time, and this is the current progress. Still have the correct mirrors to make, and also keep working on this tail lights, I just can't get them to look good at the moment.

Cheers!
