Thanks guys! I'm not a master by far, but i just want to be the best of the school with this assignment.

I attached a very quick dirty render of my scene (will be this : http://markl.hyperrealm.com/lego/5590-large.jpg). Not finished, i'll fill up the empty gap, and the lighting really is bugging me. I want the inside of the hangar to be dark and the doors to have detail (they're more detailed than the lighting makes 'em look), but it's hard to get right. Right now it's a default Vray skylight, but tips are very, very welcome!

ps, the black thing in the middle is a lego wheel for the scale of the scene.

excellent!

only thing is: the Lego logo on top of each "button", done that there is no way we can distinguish it from a photograph! great job!

Nice stuff, looks really realistic -- except for the missing Lego-Logo as fabiobasile pointed out. But I would imagine it to be a little tedious to even bump map it to each knob

very realistic render! it's just weird how the texture on the floor gets really distorted further back but the trailer is still really sharp in focus

I know, i don't really know why this is. It's a 2048² texture, so it's not because it's lowres. I thought maybe some sort of anisotropic filtering could fix it, but couldn't find the setting. Perhaps it's the anti-aliasing, which is at max 4x.

in the "bitmap" map in the material editor, theres a filtering setting with 3 little circles you can choose from, just pick "none" and it wont filter the texture at all

I've attached the other two renders I handed in today, my goal with this assignment was to be the best in my school and I do hope I succeeded.
