Exclamation

Little update.

Well here are the changes i've made. Global shape improvements based on picture reference and comments. There is also a little more details including accessories and decoration. Logos are already textured, i'll post what they look like later.

To do:
-windscreen wipers,
-seats and interior (basic, suitable for exterior render),
-skirts final shape (suitable for multiple angles render).

A few shape tweaking is also needed in critical places; If you find any that must be taken care of, just let me know, as always

Need your C&C guys

edit: currently rendering in 1280x960. hold on for it.

Very nice model !

I thought some weeks ago of making one by myself, but finding no prints for it refreshed me. So I especially value your work. Nice clay renders, looks flawless.

Thanks both for commenting

tom120934 > it was a painfull start for me too without any BP at all (except the crapy ones we could find like... hand drawn!), but as soon as esthetical issues will be wiped, may post huge scale ortho views.

smaxx, that will be a very great donation, as your model looks pretty accurate. Just do it, and I will be able to start easily this one too !

Allright this is at last a (more or less) final version. I spent hundred hours tweaking polys last week. Most parts of the car were re-designed (including surfaces around wheels, all the tail part, details on front.) and detail has been added.

Finally i worked on the materials, which i'm still tweaking. But here's a render of the actual state.

Hope you'll enjoy and crit =)

Really nice ! You should now try some more agressive cam angle, to suggest the car power.

PS : Remember #33, french boy

I'll post the ortho views tomorrow. However, if the 'stang looks ok right now, the ortho shots looks kinda weird You'll see by yourself. I guess it could be helpful anyway..

Could you be more specific about the paint?

There's currently no light except a skydome in the scene.
I didn't use a pre-made paint, and tried to obtain it by myself: I currently use a combination of falloffs and raytraces, plus separate masks for the stripes.

Considering this in which way may I improve the whole thing?
