@Zachary: Yeah just realized the rear bumper wasn't chromed last night don't know why the hell i did that. Also realized how much the whole front part (from front bumper to the end of front wheel surrounding) was much too long; one can measure it looking at the space between the back of front wheel and the beginning of the door. I'll fix that later, when i'll have a decent ortho side view.

About the rims, i noticed while gathering refs that the one used on eleanor were a "remix" of the older GT-40 rims, which i found better looking, and which i modeled (was adaptating a bit, actually).

Btw thanks for the refs, it will be my next step on this car:
-redesign the rims with eleanor remixed rims,
-add the "G.T. 500E" text in the side stipes (which need to tweak a bit my mappings)
-the tyre (which has a huge polycount)
-maybe add details inside.

But atm i got no more time for it

(sorry for the bad english, yesteraday was a hard party )

Smooth baby

As promised, here are the ortho views. I ask you to consider the following:

These are views of a reference-maede model, not a blueprint-made one. Theses views aren't perfect. So use it as references, not as blueprints, cuz there are still mistakes (that i only see now... few experience let things like that happen, sorry)

-Side mirror bases are custom.
-Proportions aren't perfect. Far from it.
-Top view proportions may be (very) inaccurate, due to the lack of top ortho references
- .. and many more, I think you understand the advice that comes with it.

One last thing, the renders aren't perfectly scaled, one may fit them together before using it (but i'm sure u're used to it) =)

Thanks! The front and rear look very good, the side is pretty much off proportion, though, but not in a way that it can't be fixed. I wonder why you put those 2 little exhausts there? I don't think there was anything like that on Eleanor.

You're right, Eleanor only have one exhaust tip, bigger. The two little i did were on many reference pics of GT500E's.

speaking of exhaust and rims, real Shelby GT500E haves those PS Engineering rims which i did show bit earlier (modern version of Cobra rims).
also it haves 2 large exhaust on both sides (no smaller ones inside of them).

ofc theres tons of replicas with incorrect dual exhaust
tips and "gt40" rims

thats what i were thinking too, just by comparing that side view pic on this http://www.smcars.net/forums/shelby/...of-1967-a.html

especially that front fender does look too long.

Yup, i exactly know where it comes from. When I started the car i had the side proportions you're showing, Zachary, and that what my first hours were based on. You can still compare with the renders on the early pages; then someone noticed the ratio lenght/width wasn't accurate, and suggested to add some lenght. I learned not to play with "scale" in animation, so i didn't use it; actually i took the whole forward part (from base of the windshield to the front) a bit ahead. Well i guess that was the wrong choice, cuz comparing the actual renders and the side view it's not lenght that was in cause; i guess it was width

What do you think about this? I admit not having a clear mind about that currently. Maybe got my nose on the work for too long

Well its a very good try at it. Its a lot better than my attempt. Just go back and fix some things if possible. If not you can always give it another shot later on.

Hey, if you increased length to get correct length/width ratio, and if it turned out that the width was wrong, just scale it to increase only height
