'69 Charger - All variations (standard, General Lee, custom etc)
First 'full' render - still lots to do so it's not in the 'finished work' section just yet.

looks really cool and nicely modelled
BUT, I noticed something odd... if you look at the attachment there is a little chrome part next to the window.. I don't really know this car, but shouldn't it stay in it's normal position?:? ![]() ![]() |

I've been working on this car for a whole year, so I'm pretty sure 'that chrome part' goes up and down with the door window. But you did highlight that I need to maybe adjust it a bit as I think there's a gap there that shouldn't be.@jsruk - thanks but I'm not sure what you mean by the background looking 'stupid'. Any suggestions on how to make it better? ![]() @Silent - thanks man. I have to compromise between quality and render time as it was taking ages. I'll see what I can do to get rid of the splodges, but for now I like to pretend that they are patches of oil, it is a Dodge after all ![]() @-monster- thanks! I've used your renders before so I'm stoked that you choose to use mine! @Zach - thanks for your comment. I'll try some other colours soon. Are there any colours that you would like me to try? @MuscleCarFreak - glad you like it! I'm working on more renders so keep checking the thread for updates. ![]() ![]() WIP: http://www.smcars.net/forums/work-pr...9-charger.html RENDERS: http://www.smcars.net/forums/renderi...9-charger.html Last edited by garethgeezer : 11-16-2006 at 03:39 PM. |

Yes! we need more renders! excellent work, good to see you finally finished it
![]() I agree on the background, could use a little more work like a wider gradient from white to black, or something like that, just to make it a bit more interesting. and yep, "that chrome part" goes up and down... that's how they made cars back then hehe |

Looks brilliant, I actually really like the unusual colour. Great detail. You say there's lots to do, whats that? looks great to me

Ok, my mate at work is a wiz with photoshop, so he has set up a file for me where I can change the colour to see what it looks like, before I try and render it. Much quicker than waiting for a render and great fun. Here are a few colour options that I have done.

Black with white stripe is gorgeous
.However, my favorite style is something you can't do just with Photoshop though: primer black with white stripe and chrome wheels (e.g. Cragars or Am. Racing). I got a RC Charger with that kinda style, just cool. But you can save that for later, finish the stock version first - oh and I'm looking forward to some rear end render . |

Thought I'd post this one as I have it as my wallpaper, just a simple grayscale version. I have a 'door open/rear view' render going right now so if it works I'll post that when it's done.
Thanks for all the comments so far, keep 'em coming ![]() |
