Hey everybody.

This is my first project i have posted on so ill give you a brief introduction about me. My name is Darren from New Zealand and 16 years old, stumbled across blender a coulple of years ago and from there my passion for 3d modling evolved. Finaly I found this great site where hundreds of people with the same interest as me can talk, sheer and show of there work!

Well that a little bit about me but here is my first car.

im not sure how to in max, but in c4d i would hide the objects from rendering, maybe this'll help, or maybe its a pointless piece of info

you can hide the print, select them, right click, hide selected

or you can, seclect them, right click, object properties, then in the general tab, untick renderable.

i noramly just hide the, nice and easy way, but if you do just hide them make sure you dont have "render hidden gerometry" selceted in the render options

also good start on the car

If you can turn, your not going FAST enough

yeeeeees, it shouldn't be too hard. The way i do it..

Chamfer it by like .5 or lower and check "open"
Weld any tri's
Chamfer again by .1 or however sharpe you want it to be, and uncheck open
Weld any tri's
Next, select the inner edges and loop.
Extrude by 3 or 5.
Chamfer something close to that to get a nice sharpe edge.

Rx7 is awesome, hope ya do the one in your sig.

i think that's the vertex body kit, i might be wrong but it looks like the same body kit that i modell 1-2 years ago, could check my model out if you want to: http://www.smcars.net/forums/work-pr...k-warning.html

and if it is the vertex there should be prints around here somewhere. I cant send you the prints i used because i'm in australia and my computer is back home in sweden, will be back soon though. but first Fiji for 2 1/2 week to relax. But good work so far,
I hate all you "new" guys, no offence but, i havent model for almost a year now and my fingers ar itching to get back and i'm gonna suck royal on it so have pation when i pick it up agian, and you already doing so great, so keep it up

Hehe here in new zealand we have a few companys that produce there own kits this is not a uras or vertex kit im still unsure on what it is though. grr this car was in New Zealand performance car mag and it had the full list of mods. Unfortunatly my english teacher took it off me as he was unable to understand how reading a car magazine was more entertaining than doin the work wich he asked me to do grrrr lol. Hehe by the way this car is Naturaly asperated with a 20B tri rotor engine it dosen't make as much power than all the other cars out there but it gets enormous cred for being N/A and still being right up there with the top guys.
