Thanks!

But I'm not totally satisfacted by them. I reduced them in dimensions, and I'm making some experiments with lightwave normal displacements to give them more depth.

Update:

Stitchings lenght was, in the first version, about 2mm long. In second version they were about 7mm: too big. Now they're 3,5mm long. I hope they're correct now!

I keep texture maps, but added displacement.

I also reduced the dimension of leather bump.

i marked a couple of bad spots on the stitching. actually i wouldn't bother but i don't know how 'perfect' you want to get.

should you ever need anything about the 917, let me know. i've tried to model one myself (but i suck at 3d modelling, better texture artist ).. anyway. i've collected loads of pics off the web, ... just drop me a line once you're there.

seriously this car is awesome, i love your model. it's edging me to try and re-pickup my 917, but nah.. i know my limits . looking forward to seeing this car when it's done. 512s ftw!

Sitting there watching that powder-blue and orange 917 barreling down the Mulsanne and getting squirrelly
under braking was the exact moment when I stopped thinking Corvettes were the coolest cars on earth.

Thanks sky^sp! When I'll try to model that beast of car, surely I'll contact you!
Returning to my Ferrari, I added some switches and lights, and fixed materials and stitches.

Hope you like it!

Each render and detail is better and better. Can't imagine how good it will end.

Must be with the best of the best. Congratulations!
