Cool Back To The Good Stuff...

I've been VERY slack in posting WIP renders of my new project...meaning haven't at all yet...

After completing that horrible Sprinter project, I needed something to get me back into gear, back to designing far-out cars and to help with my texturing skillz...

Enter the Koenigsegg C-XXX...

Two reasons for deciding on doing this, 1.) I personally think (from a design point-of-view) that the Koenigseggs are particular boring cars to look at... C'mon, if you hit it big on the stock exchange and could afford to build a supercar, wouldn't you want it to stand out?? I just wanna make one look cool...And 2.) Ever since I was 3, I have always wondered what a group of marines stranded in the snow being attacked by zombies would drive if the only thing they had access to was an arc-welder, left-over military parts from the Cold War and a Koenigsegg CCX...

Onto the more serious side, this car is being kept as low-poly as possible, and I'm aiming it to come out at 50,000 polys. So far it's at 32,000+. As you can see, I still have a fair ways to go yet. One of the main features that hasn't been modeled yet is the open cock-pit, which, on the passenger side, will house a mounted 50-cal. sniper-rifle on rails instead of a wind-shield. Most parts have been textured, but need improvement so have not been shown here.

Hope yous like!! And as usual, let me know what you think!!

Cool Updates 'n' Wires

It's been the second week at my new job, so I haven't had much time to work on this. Almost done the rear but. Because the ass-end of the body is so high off the ground, I'm thinking either a 44. gallon fuel-drum mounted underneath, or some rear-firing shot-guns...I like both, but sadly they won't fit. I'm swaying more towards the fuel-drum though. I still gotta build the rear bull-bar too, with some awesome mud-flaps for the tracks ;-)

Let me know what you think a'ight!! Peace out,

Cool Rear Bull-Bar

Spent the past 45mins on the rear bull-bar... Needs a tad of fixing, like for example, more edges around the fuel-drum itself, but it's getting there... Gotta still figure out how to link it to the body, but hey :-P

Cool Ye Olde 12-Gauges...

Yew!! Figured out a way of having both my 44. gallon drum fuel tank AND twin-mounted 12-gauge shotguns!! I've also fixed up the edges of the actual drum, plus added my exhausts that are so big, I can stick babies up inside of them ;-)

Awesome project man, this would fit right into a next-gen carmageddon (if only they would ever make something like that). I even like the little marines & zombies story you made up there

btw, I just read up on your sprinter thread, what was so awfull about that anyway ? And you keep talking about WoW & no life, do you play it or are you a major WoW-hater like me ?

Thanks for the posts guys!!

David_Lindh, I haven't quite finished the front-end of the car yet, or the dozer-blade, however right from the word go I was planning on making the dozer-blade rigid.

And Xoliul, they are actually making Carmageddon 4, and it has been in and out of production for the past few years...I can't wait either :-D

As for the marines and zombies story being made up...yeah, ummm...made up ay ;-)

The Sprinter wasn't really a project I could be overally proud of. I like improving on cars and making far-out designs. The Sprinter was just done for a project and to adjust me to low-poly modeling. It looks alright, but I don't appreciate it from a design point-of-view.

And as for WoW...I hate it. It's like the Lord Of The Rings movies; all that happens is walking. Everytime I've seen someone play it, they're walking. I played it at a mates place...I got bored making my character and got killed by a frog within 30mins of starting a new game. Now this is just my oppinion, so I don't want this thread being over-run with "Why WoW is so good/bad" posts, mkay?

New updates shortly, so until then, Nitro-X, keep your pants on and stay off the crack :-) *pats on head*
