Why not just get on google and search "toyota logo"; you can usually find pretty hi-res versions.

Are you trying to do it from memory then? like i respect ur wishes of making it from no references becoz u didnt like the shape but now it seems u are doing it to see how good ur memory of it is? Just remember this: how r u meant to sketch a tree if you havent seen that particular tree in ages and are doing it from memory?

Yep, exactly true.

It's like you're scared to learn more, so you want an excuse why it isn't 100% accurate.

If you weren't using blueprints and called it a concept car, then I could respect that more, but not using ref. isn't good because you can't exactly learn from it.

actually, i like the idea of using blueprints and no reference, if we had a number of people model the same car with no reference, but depend on blueprints, then i'm sure we would quiet the variety because each person may interpet the lines different, somebody may thing a line makes a panel stick out, another may think the line makes the panel bend in.. so you see? its a pretty cool idea

alright... if u think of it the way i do... im learning a hell of a lot... even without references...
im setting a goal for myself either way
whethter the goal is to perfectly match a reference picture... or try to model a different version (from memory) thats more appealing to myself.... its still a goal, and i AM learning.
if you see the difference between my first model... and this one (which is the 3rd by the way)
you could DEFFINITELY tell that i've learned a lot.

all i ask of you guys, is to comment on cleanliness and overall appearance.
negative comments are appreciated as well, as long as you tell me what i can do to make it better.
(setting yet another goal )

@mpfive... i would like to see that its a cool idea

I don't want to start an argument or anything, but found it sort of odd that of all the things you can try going without, you choose reference.
Do whatever you want, I honestly couldn't care less, just trying to help you out.

A crit I can notice right away is it seems parts of your car are too round.

I'd wait for a reply from RedStar, I'm sure he'll have something as he has modeled this car like *can't even count that high*

Guys, c'mon...SMCars.net is meant to be a friendly place to be. Let's try and stay away from the whole 'accuracy' thing because that's obviously what he's not trying to do.

Sk3ptic, I think you've done a fantastic job of recalling a Toyota Supra from memory. I think the only thing that needs some work are you materials, but other than that, she's come a long way since it's beginning.

Just remember that no-matter what you model, and how you model something, your knowledge grows no-matter what, and that's what counts :-)
