Low poly 86 Monte

Hey guys im here with a new project.

Im fairly new to low poly modeling so alot of help is much appreciated what do you think so far. about 30-45 mins work.

Also can somebody help me smoothing this thing unless im doing something wrong alot of polys look weird and ruin the look of the model.

You need to cut some lines in parts where side is going to front (you know what I mean), but I think this is looking good for 30-45 mins work.

I've got a question for you:
How did you make a render with visibility edges?

that's not a render, that's a viewport screenshot with edged faces enabled (in top left of viewport, rightklick--> edged faces)

So... this ain't looking too bad. In fact it's quite promising.

But, I do have some critics and tips for you.

First of all, delete the doorhandle. Seeing how flat it is on the real car you can easily do this with a texture. That'd also be more in keeping with the general lowpolyness of the model.

Further critics goes to your polygon placement. With your current polyplacement the car would indeed be quite lowpoly... but the way your mesh is looking at the moment it looks relatively unclean and if you're planning on putting it in a game or rendering it after you've finished it, your polyplacement will give you bad reflections.

I drew in a suggestion of a better polyplacement over your screens, I hope this helps.

Another point of critics is how flat you've made the curving of the side. Look at this pic here, you'll see that the side is a bit more curved than what you modelled.

Also, I noticed that there's a weird spot on the corner of the frontskirt.

Anyways, good luck with the model, I'm looking forward to see how this is turning out.

/edit: I just missed your post while i was drawing in that stuff... Let me just say, THAT ain't lowpoly at all. 3d seams = a big no-no on any lowpoly car.

hey it might be going into a game but not sure yet i just want it so its looking nice like so i will try what you did at a later date really thanks for the help though.Just a small update on the rear section and i smoothed most of it apart from the rear bit.

About the seems it could be going into a game called street legal redline so each part needs to be detached to apply dsifferent style bumpers and stuff.
