cool, i think the render turned out pretty good

does the hdr have colour that might be making it purple? because you could use an RGB Tint map to make it grey

and v8 supercars is getting a bit skewed in holdens favour ...their new VE "commodore" is now just a sports sedan, its not even on a commodore chassis anymore (itd be cooler with toyota and mitsubishi too, but thatll never happen lol)

Looking good mate, the front needs to not be as square, check some ref pics, i think you know what i mean, the grill needs some work, and maybe the flutes in the guard arent big enough, look a bit small to me, other than that nice work man!

nothing on the front prykie is finished as yet, The grill is just placed without work to it just placed a chrome to it. It needs to be fluted and a black placed in the centre of each grill piece if you know what i mean.

still trying to find some images with good clarity and definition to them, that way you can get those areas correct. In the next render I did but have not uploaded as yet the front is not as sharp.

@ the IC, we shall see how the VE goes over time, but as for the toyo and mitsi being amoungst the 2 main contenters, you are right it will never happen, one toyo does not bring out a V8 nor does the mitsi.
Plus I am not too sure if they would keep up lol.

thanks for comments guys.

heh heh...the only reason that toyota isnt in v8 supercars right now is because a few particular teams (larry perkins is the main person i can remember off the top of my head) kept threatening to leave if they were allowed to join...

sorry for offtopic

Hi all again, small update, done lights and grill.
still have to place the black in the centre of the grill uprights, I recon the lights have to be bigger and the maybe the nose cone is to be thinner.

CC's welcome

are these the headlights youre trying to model? cos if they are, yours look quite a bit smaller compared with the pic

^ actually he would have to put the bumper a couple of inches higher when you compare the grille of the 2 cars. so yeah meybe headlights should be a bit bigger but also the front bumper needs adjustment

i like this car it looks cool, your model looks like it has some bumps and things to smooth out but other than that look at your accuracy and u've got yourself a model

Yeah mate I I knew h/lights were a bit small when the render was finished.
and that the bumper was maybe a bit low. Have found a couple more images of the van, which are of a better quality, I can see a bit more of the lines I need.
Just got to find a good image of the deville front with the twin h/lights, as that is the grill I want on it.
Shall be doing clay renders for awhile now, as the renders even on low are taking 2 1/2 hrs to do.
too much time taken out that way.
Plus yes I think the HDRI may have a bit to do with colour, but the HDRI does not look like it has that colour to it, thing is I like the colour.
