Volvo P1800 63

Hello! This is my first post in this forum, and my english could be better.

I have been working on this car for a few ours now.. I found the blueprints at the volvo section in this forum, and they are quite acurate. (thanks whoever postet them). My only problem are the rear view.

But, thats not my question..
Months have past since I made something in 3DSMax, so there might be a few tricks with the splines I have forgotten.
I found it whery hard to reduce the number of them.

As you can see in the picture, its quite messy around the headlights towards the wheel.
So if anyone would like to share theire expereiences I would be happy..
Some ideas?
Thank you for an exellent forum!
So far, this is my result:

Thank you!

I`m leaving the front part as it is, so if it needs some adjustments I will look at it later. So far I have builded a spline cage of the rest of the car, only to
see if the blueprint are correct. There is a few gaps here and there actualy.
And I realy need a rear blueprint. And one more question, why are allmost all the blueprints so different from eachother when it is the same car? And who draws them? Just wondering..
I hope Il be able to post my progress rapidly, and if you want to coment, feel free!

hi!!!! you have a nice technique, i tried to use splines too for cars but lost my patience right after the hood ). they said max is not that good at splines, actually it sux, and i tried poly modelling i got a lot further with poly. i still believe that splines are better for car modelling (maybe not in max)but i seem to do better with poly. anyway your car looks great, i have no critics so far. you can also find blueprints at The Blueprints - Reference Image Database - 92 people online (92 guests, 0 members) but not that good quality. keep us posted )

Thanks rickyss.

Actualy I`m not modeling with the splines, Im just mocking them up so they work as a "3D blueprint". Then I modeling with polys around them.
And I find it a bit easier that way, and hopefully the result wil be more accurate:roll:

Still im working on the front. Im trying to reduce some of the horisontal lines, and my use of polys around the headlights.

I cleaned up my mesh a bit, and now Im having more trouble with the headlights
If you understand, when I removed some of the polys around, I managed to make the headlight a bit eliptical, so it dont have the smooth circular shape its supose to. Any ideas?

J Design:
If it does, then something should be right! Ok, Im leaving the front part a bit now and will start on the roof and the rear part.
Updates should be out during the day.
