4.6L cobra engine

I am just trying my hand at making some engines. I am not putting a lot of polies and such into this right now. This is just right for some practice and learn some ways of making the engine. ANY things you all see or anything to help me out i would love to hear them.

thanks

P.S. thanks to Tom for the great ref pics.

looks good, great aproch as well, just take it one flat part at a time.

just a little tip tho, if you are looking to make it smooth later on, i would strongly recomened you make it smooth now, becuase you have start to chamfer some edges, part like the cylinders, when you smooth them, the chamfers around the top of them will get all messed up. its just a tip start out smooth and it will be a lot easier.

also do you feel like posting a wire, i see a couple of normal problems but that could be cause by two thing either you have your smooth modifer set to high, i normaly set it to around 21, or some polies are over lapping, but it does look like it you set your smooth modifier to 21 it should be good.

anyway keep it up!!

If you can turn, your not going FAST enough

looks good so far, even though it is a little bit low poly. i hope that youre going to model a 4.6 L cobra to go along with it? perhaps an 03 - 04 terminator? besides the new GT500 those are the baddest cobras in the new styles.

thanks guys for the comments. Right now this is just practice. I am just trying out different approaches and styles to see how i can go about making a engine. Also on the cobra i thinking about doing the 00-04 body styles and i am planning on remaking the engine for the car anyways so dont worry about low poly right just just trying some different styles out. On the wire yea i will get that up on here later on. thanks for the comments
