My Dream Camaro

I've been working on this car for about 2 weeks now...almost ready to call it finished, but I want to add that little something...I'm anxious to hear your opinions...

That,s really nice but I think that the side shape line colour is making this model strange.

The side shape line color? Could you be more specific?

and yea, the title is somewhat of a joke.

I don't want to sound harsh but I wonder whether you've actually ever seen a first gen Camaro? Cause most of the body lines are totally wrong.
In case you can need some more constructive criticism:
- Seen from top, the front should be more edgy and going straight to the middle like a "V" not like this "~" kind of thing it is now
- the steps on middle height of the sides strangely hang down while they're supposed to stay on one straight level, maybe a mesh smooth problem?
- the windshield is too tall

Thanx for the criticism. The prints I used were pretty off, bad perspective, and I'll see if I can straighten out that line on the side, as well as the windshield.

In terms of the dirt and weathering, I find that its harder to create a worn in look than a prisitine finish.

Amen to that. It's a lot more fun though.

Hey,
I agree with paint job and rusty... very cool man!

But I have little critics on model:

1º Red line: See this line, is more angular, like a Blue line.
2º Green line: This cut finish in in the rim arch.

See the link on Ebay. Having many pics of reference to help you to got a more accurate model.

eBay Motors: Chevrolet : Camaro (item 220089401381 end time Mar-13-07 08:47:45 PDT)

Keeping modeling, like your project!!

More texturing, and some model fixes. The windshield should look a little more accurate, and I did a little to fix the side line...although its already uvw unwrapped and I cant cut into it... I'll see what I can do about the front end tonight.

edit:/ The line I saw is correct for the 68, the 69+ has the swept back wheel arches.

It looks much more real, cos' before it looked like it was damaged plastic.
Really nice textures and materials.
Good job!

wow outstanding dust textures on the windows and the wheels look great!

maybe the rust apttern under the hoodline is a bit too regular.

the crease near to the front wheel arch is off... unless it's the angle of the Camera
