Lightbulb My Concept

i was sitting in school when i started to just sketch this car... i was planning on just using photoshop to render it but i thought i would try to model it in 3D, its my first real attempt, Tell me what you think... (Im a complete NOOB at 3D Studio)

Good start, but imo the wheel arches are too tall wheels would have to be massive to fill top to bottom, have done a quick mark up on your image.
Something simular to this may help get the lines right.

probably because u dont have many edges? lower the auto-smooth and put different parts into different smoothing groups aswel.

If you can do a screen dump of the wires we can help you a lot more.
I would say the sam e as Marty on why it is going pear shaped.

you need to capture the screen before you put the mesh smooth to it.
Here is a screen capture for an example.

here is a quick fix for a start, delete the pink lines add the blue lines.
none are to join as a triangle or 5 points.

feral1 im kind of stuffed... i tried to follow what you were showing me but now i dunno where to put a few lines, heres the model can you just show me what you mean, and can u also show me how to put them into smoothing groups?

Prince, your file will not open, what vers of max are you using ?

done a quick fender for you, if you make the fender bonnet door etc seperate, you can place them on their own layers if need to.

but you can see my wires, on the fender compared to yours, this will help you I hope mate.

going to crash shall catch ya tomorrow night if you need more help

PS I am using max 8

it would be easier for a noob to start again, you do not need to do all in layers, but if you do each panel seperate, it will make it easier for you to concentrate on one part at a time.
