Looks extremely realistic, Majestic ! But, I keep thinking that the render looks sad..
Compared to the original pic you used.
In other words, the lightning on the car looks 'sad'; would be nice if you made it more happy - More sunny!

[Edit] Actually, I'm not sure if it's the lightning..
It might be the colors on the paintjob, which, of course, isn't your..eh.. 'mistake' (I hate calling this masterpiece a mistake.. heh).

Other that that; excellent !!

btw, what a big difference those headlights do!
15 mins without and 1 hour with them! heh..
Looks amazing, none the less!

Again, Great work!

@T-Shine: i tried different hdri maps, but this one is the only one that looks good.

i need some outdoor hdris, with the sky and sun... then it would be happy looking.
that was problem #1

problem #2 is that the bg gets pixelated at high res (like 2000ish)
i need to render the car for print. guidelines for Expose 2 are "2657 pixels wide and/or 3636 high".. i dunno if they accept my entry with ****e looking background. anyways, high res render....

Maybe some blur would make the pixels less noticable.

BTW, I'm not sure if you know this site, but it has got some outdoor hdris.
I've got all mine from here

its goin better and better

k if i look at the last pic three things

1. no indicators

2. the rim shader looks wrong a think (it looks like if there is a black background)

3. the shader of the tire(rubber) looks very simple
(if u want i can upload an image with an descent tire setting)

if these sentence makes sense i achieved my goal

edit: the porsche logo looks to flat

1. no indicators
workin' on them right now
2. the rim shader looks wrong a think
the rim is actually black, i guess i'll make it blurrier
3. the shader of the tire(rubber) looks very simple (if u want i can upload an image with an descent tire setting)
that'd be great

edit: the porsche logo looks to flat
nooo!!! it's not flat, i swear i modeled the whole thing, even the little friggin' horsie

hmm yeap its well modeled ( the logo) I think its just how the lighting is on it, it just sticks out from the shading of the car, seems like it should be darker or something.

Dennis u know that the bottom pic is mine not the top pic

but i tell u what setting i use
(i use Lightwave btw but i think u can take these setting in other apps too)

red green blue
Color: 54 53 53
3 gradient Layers :
-----------------------------------------
1st gradient an incidence
(1st key)startcolor 37 37 37
(2nd key) with the same color setting like the first key but set to ca 30 degrees
(3rd key with the color 57 64 90 at 90° with an low alpha channel
-----------------------------------------
2nd and 3rd gradient an Bump gradient
with an simple color setting at the beginning with color 37 37 37 and at the end 52 52 52 but one of these gradients is set to additive mode
---------------------------------------

Diffuse: 57.5%
2 gradient:
1st is an procedural of ur choice with small settings and the 2nd is an Bump gradient start 60% and end 55%

---------------------------------------
Specularity: 3%
1 simple Bump gradient start 0% and end 12% (specularity changes with the bump settings)

Glossiness: 16%

Bump channel:
I added 2-3 procedural textures (fractal noise, turbulence and the bump map for the profil with low settings small size (30-70mm it could be smaller ) all these bump layers r set in additve mode.

if u want i can make pics of the setting so that u can see what i did correctly

well, heres my crappy new tire... with texturing errors and too much bump :?

@lordiron2k: i usually have all my tires a bit reflective with a lot of reflection blurring - creates awesome speculars from hdri
