majestic, your Porsche is simply stunning...

if you need some tips about the tires, I wrote this LW tutorial (you need an account on LWG3d to see/open images)
Modeling and Texturing a Tire (LW)
and my result is this (made it for my BMW M3 CSL)

Cheers Dario

ok this is pretty much done.. bugs include:
-missing rear view mirror
-a few things on the hood
-the bumper is a bit modified now, so the blinkers dont stick out
-i might make the blinkers a bit 'flatter'

If this is an 'in motion' shot I think the tire labels should have a little motion blur on them

Majestic, if you dont win this competition then the winner must have cheated and took a real picture and tricked everyone hehe. This looks great, I notice more reflection that adds to the realisim on the body. Sweet Sweet cool

it's not a competition, it's a book. well, there is some competition to get IN the book, but well no opponents really..

anyhoo, the render is done. took me 7.5 hrs to render it at 3636x2728 resolution

25% size

50% size, 702kb

100% size, 5620kb

i dont know, but i think i overdid the noise :?

Pretty awesome at last well done majestic and good luck with Exposé. Judging from the quality of the first books "vehicle section" there should be a really tough fight

Yeah!

Top stuff, majestic. Final render looks fantastic, you got the tone of the body just right. I can't say the noise is too much at all.

Good luck!

hmm lol I thought it was a competition...

However Ive got some bad news for you, not sure if you noticed since I sometimes skim read to get replys out. But the F1 car is kind of showing up in the renders. You can see the nose of the F1 car in the grill of the Porsche. But maybe people wont notice, since they wont know where the image came from or what to look for.
