I wouldnt say the mesh "has" to be like that, altho it is a lot cleaner of a mesh. Instead of telling him what to do show him some examples, like the pick you made.

Basically you want you mesh to look clean. By making eveything in nice squares you mesh becomes neat and easier to work with. Try to have as least triangles in your mesh as you can. But for the most part its looking great so far, alot better then my first scrach made model, lol which was a van, hahah. Keep it up man and post some more!

 I got rid of that just after I took the picture
And I thought it would be easier to model a car that I have seen before, rather than trying to guess with foreign cars

Not bad so far, but I think that this one can be difficult for your first car, especially when you haven't seen it.

you are doing good for a first time, but go back the the image that Crazy marked in red, and see if you can get as close to how he has the lines, once yours is smoothed I think you are going to have problems.
We all have to start somewhere, and I am no exception.

Keep it up mate

I'm wondering now, is it possible to do subdivision smoothing in Zmodeler ?
Because if it isn't, he doesn't have to pay attention to tri's as much as you guys are telling him to.

^ in low poly modelign you don't ahve to be as anal about tris as in high poly, so actually sticking to quads in Zmod makes for better reflections. it will just look cleaner afterwards.
