Thanks man!
I have been trying to simulate those lightplanles provided with vray and finalRender using planes with self-ilumination enabled and using a gradient ramp as difusse map without any good result. I tried many combinations; nothing good comes out. Then I just downloaded the vary demo and setup the scene very quick using three lightplanes. Hope someone knows how to simulate lightplanes with mentalray (wich is the renderer I'm using). Some materials where lost when switching to vary, but right now I'm fosussed on studio setup. Sorry about the watermark. |

I think it looks very good. Its hard for me to tell any real differences ( given I dont have the images side by side)
On another note Id like to apologize for lack of replys to your thread. I believe Ive said that before however I will say this we are thinking of putting in a system to limit prints to people with zero or little posts. And it wont be about posts to bypass it ( ie people spamming for numbers). Anyhow no reason to tell you but I just feel that people like yourself deserve more replys. |

talk about deja vu...when i was doing my sauber c9 a while ago (got an old WIP thread if you wanna have a look), i switched to vray while making it too...never finished it though...your body is much smoother than mine was
![]() i think your MR ones look better at the moment, but once you get you head around vray it should start looking nice...just search the forum, people have posted links to some good vray sites here that go through the basics and you should go to your Bitmap map and change filtering to "None" so that the stickers dont go blurry when theyre at an angle to the camera ![]() |
