Thanks for the comments, Tom ! I will take a look in the refpic section. And BTW, I like this signature. Totally opposed to the Atom way of life
Here's a tiny little update and a clay render. The clay render setting is not set up as my previous, as I'm trying to get the best of Blender internal renderer. Every render/clay shown so far is produced with Blender internal (no YafRay) The same for these two.
I'm trying to complete the front suspension before starting on another parts. I think I'll keep going from front to rear, trying to complete the car in a single pass.

Thanks !
Here's the beginning of the rim. Very preliminary, but useful to show that most details won't be visible at all on the completed model

Thanks for the comments ! I will check the bump on the hood.
Tom, better than top/left/front/rear views of the chassis, here's a 3D, lowres blueprint of it. .blend file, open it with Blender to convert it to any other file format you want.
This is the wire cage I've made to understand the full chassis before actually modeling it (just by putting some cylinders on it)
Have fun, I hope it may be of interest !
edit : I zipped it because SMCars doesn't allow .blend files to be uploaded. Can any admin fix it ? I'm not the only nerd playing around with Blender

You're welcome.
Erf, if you're going to model it for the contest, I'm pretty sure I will be ranked #2 of the Atom which have entered. Too bad for me

Thanks S][M. Here's a small update, fenders on the front wheels and bolts holes in the rims.
A clay render from another point of view should follow tonight to show more details.
