well thats the same problem i was running into. The long rendering times were there after i made a scene with only vray lights. The subd. of the vray lights are just 15, to make the rendering time not too long, but still is very long. I will post my settings so you could help me. The scene consist out of 4 vraylights, and GI is turned off.

I just noticed a strange thing, the environment is still on, but when i put vraylights in it the scene is all dark.

Really nice Erik, very smooth. Took awhile to render by the looks of it.

Excellent work ! I really love the rims, they looks realistic. The paint job is also good, although mid grey has always been a terrible color for cars.

very nice render, but i have the feeling you are missing some hard edges on the body...

the front side indicator need some work, the shape and the material don't look very good

check out this photoshoot: Nthimage - Lamborghini_Murcielago Wallpapers

keep in mind that this is the american edition, so the indicators don't match

also you have modeled the LP640 rims, which are cooler but don't fit in terms of accuracy.

thanks for the comments.

@ SM: thanks i will fix the stroke on the front and indicator lights. All the materials are just quick mats. They are not done yet, the indicator mat for example is just a simple map with an color. As the model is finishd i will go over each mat one by one to make it good. The tires, as said before in this thread are different because i don't like the normal ones. so i had some people choose wich rim i had to make. About the hard edge, if you look at some max shots on the previous page you'll see it's there

Heres the samer render with the same (crappy) mats. Only with red car color. And also a finished front light!

nice work, i agree the paint doesn't do justice to the car and it needs some tweaking so does the studio

I agree with above statements : both paint and studio lead to get pink areas on your renders.

You can try to increase the global illumination and decrease the white planes intensity. Some work will need on the paint also : try a darker red or reduce the specular reflections

imo bright reds on Lambos are a big no-no those are reserved for the Ferarris

a dark blue or black would surely look great!

hehe. Well here is a little update. I'm experimenting more and more with renderings as the final shape is getting more near. I need to do some little things on the exterior before starting with the interior. (well seats are done, but will show you that when i really start interior)

The render, the lighting is not perfect and it all needs some more tweaking, but this is a good start result imo.

Modelling, i filled up 2 little holes, need to fill up more holes and start working on the 3th brakelight. Further i need to finish the wheels

C&C please

Hehe, green is sexy, and it suits pretty well the car.

Modeling wise, your job is excellent. I just have a little concern with the surroundings of your grids. Each grid itself is really nice modeled.

Very nice job. The green on that last render is an excellent color choice.

oke here is another render. I improved the lighting a bit. The rest is still not really good. Hadn't had time lately to do anything on it. This time a drak blue like SM requested.

Just forget blue. It doesn't suit the car at all. But keep your scene setup, it looks great.

Tire and rim shaders are excellent, but the tire is too light.

The texture on rearlight needs some work, they don't look real. Pretty easy to say, I know. Sorry but I've no lead on how to make them looking good.

For rear grids, you need to model some surrounding part. The integration isn't natural as it.
