Pocket Bike
Hello,
I present you my new project, started since one week : a Pocket Bike.
I drop Zmodeler to Cinéma 4D who is (of course) much improved.
I have the real model near me, out of service, so I decided to disessemble it and remake each part in C4d.

This looks real! Perfect renderings! But the break disk is verry scarred ...I would change them .
Go on, I´d like to see more.
Edit
You´re crazy...I just noticed the wheel and valve-picture...

It's amazing indeed, lighting especially. Textures are beautiful, but need just a bit less reflection.
Interesting project, good luck on it!

I agree with all posts above, the materials looks really excellent. Except the tire one : it looks too wet to be honest.
Can we see a photo of the pocket bike you're modeling ? It looks like you're going to model every single part. Do you own the thing IRL ? I think it will ease the modeling process if you do.

Thanks.
It's an used brakle disk, I prefere it than the nine aspect of the 3D.
Ah, SLG... a lot of souvenirs.
tom120934 : What is IRL ?
In fact, this is not the tire, but the inner tube.
There is the inner tube with his material optimised, and a photo of the real bike :

Ok, I didn't noticed it was the air chamber. IRL means In Real Life, but I didn't read carefully enough your post : you already said the bike was yours.

Thanks.
I have started the tire, I am not very happy by the time of render (10 min the tire alone), I will probably reduce the bump's hyperburbs.

i like the tire, it's very good! The tire mat is very nice as well. but 10 minutes for only this is indeed not really fast.

I agree with Erik_S, the tire material looks really nice. The model looks good as well.
About rendering time, it depends on your hardware and the render size. Is it only 800x600 ? What CPU are you using ?

first of all- nice model and the materials are great. the bike looks real.
the bump on the tire might be to much for many machines. maybe a mix of displacement tex and polygon modeling will be the cure for slow renderings. Are you on Cinema AR or are you using any of these third party renderers?
Had a quick view through your websites galery and i have to say i'm impressed. the SL rendering is great.
If i do have C4d related questions on the forum you are my go2person from now on
greetings from berlin

one of the most compelling tire materials i have ever seen, imo you shouldn't compromise the quality for the sake of rendering time! it just looks too good

Thanks.
The renders are in 800x600 with a geometrical anti-aliasing, and I use a 2,80 GHz CPU.
I modelise and render on Cinema 4D 10, but I am learning how us it, Prayas.
I have updated the tire, but I am not very satisfied by the result, I will probably try to opimise his material.
