Heh, after so long I've already planned what I want to do next. Will do a super gt version after than I model a friends car. It's a toyota fj cruiser and I think I can finish that quickly since the shape is all geometric.

Nice update.!!!!
Love the details!
True, I may have to render like 100 pics to show the effort. Texturing should be fun.. XD

hey doodz, some progress. Hehe, I know, its been long. I just looked back at this thread and wowww, i am SLOW. It's finally coming to an end Like i said in my very first post, it can be my christmas present, hahahaha! Depending on my parents, i hope i get a new computer. It feels like i won't be able to finish this gtr without higher specs because it is lagging real bad now. I'm thinking that i should model different parts in different files and merge them later. Weirdly, today was the first time it crashed. Looks like i need to stop using so much polies lol. Next i make the handbrake. Any help or tutorials on how i can make those leather folds? http://www.egmcartech.com/wp-content...s_image005.jpg

I assumed you already were modeling in different scenes and merging. That technique works well though, and you can use V-Ray proxies later if you start getting max's infamous memory CTDs. which may not appear rendering 1 million polys, but may appear rendering 4 polys, go figure.

Learn the proxy system though, Ive started using Mental ray proxies and they totally eliminate any viewport slowdown.

The last render in post #444 is indeed stunning. What are you working from ? I mean, do you own / have access to the real car ? Or are you just using refpics ?

Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster
Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4)

Sorry to be a nitpicker but this, gear shifter is not accurate i mean on the real pic you showed you can see it goes alot higher at the front and more metal is exposed.

Thanks guys! I tried fixing it but the metal piece should be more narrow. Noticed it when i was done and didnt feel like going back all over again.

@kawaiistef, i'd disagree with the stitches tho, on my reference it runs parallel to the edge.

The stitchers are too high, they need to be moved more to the surface they are on. Otherwise great job!
