1986 Chevy Monte Carlo

Here's what I got after a couple hrs of work. I usually start with a low poly frame then when I convert it to subdivisions to smooth it out, it should boost up the poly count by a whole lot.

Looks like a good start. Mesh topology is good, polyflow is pretty clean. As I don't really know the car, I can't critic the car.

Keep it up that way.

Thank god for these good old boxy American cars.I've finished most of the exterior. I'm just missing some minor stuff like the holes for the door handles, the rubber molding around the glass, rear taillights minor stuff. I'm about ready to convert it into subdivisions.I'm hoping that some of the more angular parts of my mesh that are supposed to be round gets rounded out in the conversion.

Still no critics from me, except some details you've to finish. I'm looking forward to see more progress from you.

I've completed modeling most of the exterior. I'm in the process of converting it into subdivisions and creasing the edges. I guess I'll have enough time to do an interior.

It looks nice, no critics from me.

I just wondered when looking your second picture, that the rear wheel arch doesn't look smooth on it. But as it looks fine on renders #5 and #6, I guess it's ok.

Keep us updated.

Looking good sofar, but the polyflow is a bit weird on some places. There are quite some polyrows of which I don't know why they're there.
Good luck with the contest, you're doing great sofar

Thanks for the good words. Well, the deadline is still 2 months away for the contest so I guess I have enough time to make an interior. I'm just gonna keep the interior pretty simple though.

I guess with the deadline around the corner, I'd better get movin. I've finished uv mapping the car interior, now I got to start creating the textures for it. I don't know if the textures came out that well.:?

Well, I didn't managed to finish it on time for the contest deadline but I still plan on finishing this car. I've started making the textures for it. I'm going for the ol' "beatin up, neglected, Canadian winter, cancer ridden" look.

I've made a couple of renders of the car. It's close to being finished. It's just missing a couple of minor things like badges.

I think the car is too clean for such a rusty look. And the rust is pretty bright or colourful:?
