Renders are getting better and better. But you should focus on modeling now.

Ah, back to modeling.
Sorry I didn't notice your post about the side line and your reminder question. So about it : - Yes I was talking about what you pointed in #19, - and when looking to your last render in #25, it's not fixed yet. - I think that along the crease, the length of edges orthogonal above it isn't constant, so the hardness of the crease is not constant (the same goes for the edges below the crease) - Post a wire to make sure, I will highlight it to make my thought perfectly clear. About your today issue, I think your job is good. Just add thickness to : - the fender, because there is none at the moment. - and also at the top of the headlight on the hood side, because it's less thick there and it will result in a hole when you'll have modeled your headlight. Otherwise, nice work. You're doing great, keep that way and keep us updated. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

Tom... about your last post.... can you explain me i don't understand... eh my english :-)
"...Just add thickness to : - the fender, because there is none at the moment. - and also at the top of the headlight on the hood side, because it's less thick there and it will result in a hole when you'll have modeled your headlight. " Can you make quick draw on my screenshot ? I will SHIFT+pull edges of headlight little down before i start adding details to my headlights. Also this new polygons will be sides of my glass on headlights. I will CAP them from both side and shape them. And under glass i will make lights. I have also one more question about headlights. What to do after i SHIFT+ little pull down edges. Can i just make SHIFT+pull edges inside the body to make case/box for details of lights below glass ? |

Ok, I will highlight a wire, but please post a wider one, showing whole car from front arch to rear arch.
Also, please note I'm no Max user, so I can't help you about the commands and keyboard shortcuts. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

About the side, I've no critics about the mesh. So I wonder : did you modify it since when I posted about that edge for the first time ?
About the headlight, please check the picture I attached. It's better now, but you should add some thickness. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

Yes, I think : you'll have to check it later when modeling the outer part of the headlight. But the bottom of the hole (both on bumper and hood) needs be fixed : put the "thickness polys" horizontally, not vertically like you did.
About the side edge going from wheel arch to wheel arch, it's really weird. Check the weight of edges (or vertices or faces, I don't know how your software deal with weights : Blender works by giving weight to edges) to make sure it's not the source of the irregular hardness. Otherwise, just try to render it again, to make sure if the issue is still there. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |
