Ford S-MAX

hey started a new car the otherday. A Ford S-max

havnt finished the front bumper yet and i know there is a few inaccuracies with the model but i think it looks pretty good so far not bad for my first model without a top blueprint...

c&c welcome

BTW i will post a wire pic soon

looks like a nice start. could you post some wires though because there are a couple spots on the front bumper that maybe a bit off.

it is lookign really nice. I like the choice of the car, yo udon't see them very often modelled. The start you make is good, only some crits depending on the wire and 1 bump.

Picture: red place is a bit bumpy
Wire: the red lines are an added row of edges, the blue lines are those edges deleted!

Hope you can use it, and keep it going!

erik stole my thunder and pointed out most of what is bothering me. the only thing that i would add is that i think the crease going through the circular trim for the foglights (i presume that's what they are) should probably fade out a bit at the end so that it looks more circular.

i see what you mean in the reference pic. my overall point, though, is that the opening ceases to look round because of the way you've modelled the crease. it's a nitpicky point though so don't lose any sleep over it

Hi thanks for the nice comments
Again, here is another slow progress update. I have noticed the bump on the front door on the bottom by the seam. There are allot of bumps on and around the headlight area as I have had to re make it and haven’t had much change to fix the bumps.

I will start adding more detail in soon. My main aim is to keep the mesh clean and smooth while maintaining a high-ish level of detail.

I keep meaning to attach a wireframe but never do get around to it  and I just closed 3ds max. Will also try and get some test renders and clay renders done soon...

C&C welcome.

Thanks for reading

James

I don't like the car, but I like to see someone's building public cars plus this one is very nice modeled so far.

At least a normal car. It looks very good but apart the bumps you have mantioned there are some on hood near grill.
