could be just me, but the rims lack a certain kind of depth... the spokes look as thick as a sheet of paper imo... :/

model itself looks great though

Trust me, I'm not dumb enough to make the spokes paper thin

Part of the problem I think is the wheels are exported at too low loevel for rendering, and the sides of the spokes have ended up more rounded than flat. In the refs I have, the spokes are thinner than i expected too.

Cheers!

yeah that's why I said that they "looked" thin, and not that they are thin...

Indeed so, they will be re-exported when the centres have been finished

Been working on the interior now, and as with the Capri & Lotus, this isn't for rendering way up close, but in a "whole car door open" shot, it'll do nicely when done.

Cheers!

hmm tat first render is really nice, but you focused on the wrong part of the body!

can't say much about the interior, the render isn't big enough and it doesn't show much. but i guess for the intended purpose it will suffice.

The interior grab is 1280 wide, easy enough to see, maybe you need to click to zoom it to fullsize in your browser? But yes, at any rate it will easily fulfill it's purpose.

I was temped to just focus right on the arse, but I thought i'd do the less obvious option heh

Cheers!

Maybe the windows shouldn't be so dark and maybe more reflective

Really good work so far. The interior is going to give you difficult times, because it will be touchy to get the luxury ambiance in there. Both details modeling and shaders will take time.

Keep us updated !

Yep, that's for sure, but on the upside, I don't intend rendering with a camera actually inside, so that saves me some headaches, the interior will only be for seeing with the doors open etc...

Maxx, the window surface is a temp surface, only for rendering without the interior. Once the interior is in for rendering, they'll be like real car windows

Cheers!

Sure, but it is just a WIP render, final rendering will be maxed out

damn... just noticed this beast. It looks great some true work of art. The front seems some how off to me . Perhapse the headlights are too narrow in relation to the overall car/ grill. Also your tailights should'nt have the fins in them. Ive seen that on the car but I think it was one of the concepts. I think thats it. If you want some great picture resources go to

http://www.jabbasworld.net/viewtopic...=asc&start=100

Anyhow.. you truely are an amazing modeler I know how hard this car is to capture.

Really nice work i really like this car. And nice environment that you chose as well for your rendering. What render engine do you use?

Modelled, I find that easier, even if modelling it is for the purpose of deriving a map.

Cheers!

Thanks all.

Icekid, the front proportions are correct as far as i can tell, but I opted to build the style of headlights seen in the prototype car, which differ from the ones in actual road going ones. i think the type I modelled look cooler, but perhaps that makes them seem different? Not sure.

Cheers! :-)
