Pictures show up now.
As you didn't post in the lowpoly section, I assume you consider your work as highpoly. But for a highpoly model, the base mesh has way too low level of details. Maybe you should try to work slowly, a part at a time. You can try to draw (either pencil or 3D with only some vertices) a sketch of the car, to capture as many features as you can. That's an easy to get focused on details. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

tom120932: Yeah, but after smoothing its a few thousand polycounts. My body still aching. Gotta jump back to bed again.

Maybe it's because you're smoothing with too many level of subdivision.
Usually I work with only 2 levels, and adding extra polys by hand where I need higher mesh density (edges, creases, ...) When I started modeling some years ago, I was used to use 5 or 6 levels of subdivisions, resulting in what you've got there. Try to find your balance between initial mesh complexity (the one you create by hand) and the subdivision level. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |
