Looking pretty good!

I'm currently modeling this car (or at least i was until my Maya computer died.) but I'm fixing it, and i should be able to work on it some more.

Your model is looking pretty good though be careful you seem to have allot of wavy Geo here and there.
You may want to straighten out the base mesh before you smooth for rendering.

I hope you finish this model.

Maya is my drug of choice. I'm practically meshed up 24/7

Why nobody models the 1994 Camaro? Everyone models only the "popular" cars like skylines, 350z, new Mustangs and Camaros... Theres the diversification?:?

schaefft you're right. That's true there is often a trend about blockbuster cars or concepts. That's maybe also the reason why there is so unfinished project (no I'm not speaking about mines there) : I guess it's hard to complete a car that is modeled by 10 other modelers, when you start thinking "this guy is doing better work than me". That's also why I always wait some time between the idea of modeling a given car and the actual start of work : just to test my motivation...

Anyways, welcome as a posting member, softstone. Have you been around there silent for more than 3 years, or did you registered then forget about SMC ? I'd really like to know

Nice start so far. Yes it's a commonly modeled car, but don't bother with that, as soon as you feel motivated to do it correctly and completely. And as long as you enjoy spending time on it.

Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster
Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4)

Hi tom, I registered 3 years ago!Exactlly I forget when I registered! When I was in collage,I recognized SMC,SMC is a very good place for the 3D people! In collage I modelled a Murcielago But that time I was just started learning 3DMAX!So I did not post it to SMC!When I finished the Murcielago I had to finish my graduation dissertation! After that I was graduated! But my job had no relationship with 3Dmax!Slowly I forget the 3D until some days before,I restarted 3D!
And the Camaro is my first Project! Last I want to say Thanks to SMC from SMC I learned a lot,and it provided lots of preciselly Blueprints! And I hope to contact more with the people in SMC no matter beginner or a mastered one!
Thanks for your courage I will try my best to finish it!

At this point...it be more opportune to start with the wheels as well...keep in mind those two factor in as to what makes/breaks the car.

It's nice to see you're still working on it, but why don't you just updated your previous topic (http://www.smcars.net/forums/work-pr...35-camaro.html) ? Edit : link is now wrong, see Johnas's post below.

Nice work, but you have some bumps. Can you post bigger render to allow us to track them ?

Looking pretty good!

I can see your having some trouble with the front bumper (as did I) I ended up having rebuild my front bumper, just so i could get all the creases correctly placed, and also to get the Lip that runs across the front to look right.

Anyway, what you have is looking good.

I'm looking forward to updates!
