That is looking great! You should work on the materials of your wheel, but teh car paint and the chrome looks just stunning!

About the rendering, i'm having the same problems, even with vrayproxy:S i have to turn down my rendering settings otherwise i get a ctd. But how many poly's do you try to render? You could try using vray. Vrayproxy is a good tool to render millions of poly's, fast with low memory usage.

@tire/rim test, I think the sidewall should be a bit different, I dunno how to explain it correctly but something feels a bit unrealistic with that bumpmap (I guess you used one). And compared to the sidewall the thread of the tire looks too clean to me.

But I know nothing about tires tbh, I just compare it with what I get in mind when thinking of tires, but maybe others agree, or maybe you agree.

Thanks,

CLR-AMG, Thanks will take those words in to consideration. Since iam very nooby at tire stuff.

My Opinion is to create the actual tires of the C63 AMG, but i dont know where to start.

Thanks younglion, doing great work on it.

Maybe these 2 wallpapers of the official C63 minisite can help with the thread. There are some more wallpapers but those have zero visual on the tirethread.

For tirethread modelling I think the tutorial on DanielBuck.net might be very good to start with.

May be outdated but those tutorials describbe the same steps...

The only thing new is the texturing part, the rest is purely same principle.
